Richard Deng of West Windsor is one of the first place winners in the NJ AAA Poster Contest. The award ceremony was held in the AAA clubhouse in Springfield on April 24. There were more than 1,200 entries in New Jersey this year.
Deng is in eighth grade at Community Middle School. His poster, “You’re in the Right Direction. Be a Good Passenger,” told viewers to buckle up, not distract the driver, and help them avoid obstacles. He was rewarded a certificate and a $250 check. “It feels great to have your work recognized,” says Deng. “I want to thank all my teachers and hope I can spread the driving safety message through my poster.”
