Westminster Conservatory is currently accepting applications for its 2013-2014 Honors Music Program.

The school is set to host open auditions for piano students on June 3 and string musicians on June 6.

HMP is designed for gifted instrumentalists, vocalists and composers ages 8-18.

The program includes Saturday classes in chamber music, jazz improvisation, music theory and composition, music history, singer’s diction and vocal repertoire at the conservatory’s main campus Princeton.

HMP’s training is intensive and provides many performance opportunities. The program’s graduates often recognized by the nation’s top colleges, universities, and conservatories.

Prior to auditioning, candidates must provide a recommendation from their private teacher.

Students interested in non-performance majors are not required to audition.

Candidates unable to audition on the designated date should contact director Alison Neely at youngartists@rider.edu or (609) 921-7104.

Westminster Conservatory is the community music school of Rider University’s Westminster Choir College. It is located on Franklin Street in Princeton.
