West Windsor Arts Council and MarketFair Mall are teaming up to host a family-friendly afternoon on Sunday, Dec. 10 from 1 to 4 p.m.

This year’s Winter Warm Up will feature performances by High School North’s a cappella group, Out of the Blue, face painting, make your own LED light-up cards and original artwork priced $300 or less from the Off the Wall exhibition. Hot chocolate and cookies will be served.

David Peins and Katie Truk will be teaming up to lead the art activity, LED light up cards. Children will design and create cards with Truk, an art educator. Then, Peins — a teacher and president and founder of Robodyssey Systems — will help bring the cards to life by teaching children how to make complete circuits with conductive tape, batteries, and LEDs.

WWAC is also seeking donations of gently used warm clothing on behalf of the Rescue Mission of Trenton.

This is the fourth annual Winter Warm Up. The event is free, and will be held in the center courtyard at MarketFair Mall on Route 1.
