Trenton students win Geography Bee

Two Trenton residents won Incarnation-St. James School’s annual Geography Bee in February.

Seventh grader Alexander Madrigal won first place and eighth grader Philip Cavallo won second.

Fourth through eighth grade students participated in classroom rounds. The top two contestants from each grade competed in the final school round.

The school’s PTA awarded a $20 gift card to the first place winner and $10 gift card to second place.

By winning first place, Madrigal qualified to compete in the National Geographic Geography Bee. He completed a written-qualification test and is awaiting the results.
