Trenton Rotary Club to celebrate centennial

The Trenton Rotary Club is preparing to celebrate its 100th Anniversary.

The club is set to host a gala dinner in honor of their centennial year.

The theme of the club’s centennial year is 100 years of Caring and Sharing. Proceeds from the dinner are set to benefit the Boys and Girls Club of Mercer County.

Club members are seeking former members, or relatives of former members, to join in the celebration scheduled for Oct. 25 at the Hamilton Manor.

The Trenton Club is part of Rotary International, a worldwide service organization. There are more than 1.2 million members of Rotary in more than 42,000 local clubs throughout the world.

The Trenton Club was founded by five charter members in 1914, the club currently has more than 50 members. Members of the club demonstrate service by serving on the boards of more than 40 local charities and non-profit organizations.
