UIH Family Partners recognized 10 Mercer County men at the Children’s Home Society of NJ’s Platinum Dad Award ceremony.

The annual event promotes the importance of responsible fatherhood by recognizing 10 fathers or father-figures who have been positive and consistent forces in the lives of children.

Honorees included Edward Simon of Trenton.

Simon, a father of three, was nominated by CHS staff member Ashley Gonzalez for his dedication to his family, his church and the South Ward Family Success Center in Trenton. He is an active member of the center’s the Parent Advisory Committee and serves as a positive role model for all parents and care givers.

Family Success Centers are community-based, family-centered neighborhood gathering places where community residents can go for family support, information and services.

The South Ward Family Success Center is managed by The Children’s Home Society of New Jersey, a nonprofit child and family serving agency whose mission is to save children’s lives and build healthy families.
