Trenton golfer wins PGA Junior award

New Jersey PGA Junior named Trenton resident Anthony Latham its Gold Leader of the Year.

The PGA awarded Latham for being a superior teacher and coach. Leaders of the Year are also recognized for their involved in the promotion and development of junior golf and support PGA Junior programs.

Latham has been providing golf instruction for adults and youth at PEAC Health & Fitness since 2008.

He is set to lead a junior golf workshop entitled “Basic Junior Drills & Activities” 4 p.m. Dec. 16 at PEAC, 1440 Lower Ferry Road, Ewing. The workshop is designed to get kids interested in and introduced to the game of golf in a positive manner. It is appropriate for ages five to 18.

The workshop is complimentary to children of PEAC members and $10 for non-PEAC members.
