Students on Grover Middle School’s 6M team brainstormed a service project to take on during the holiday season and agreed on Toys for Tots as the charity they would support. Students brought in donations during the two weeks after Thanksgiving break.

The teachers on the team include Rose Steven, Mary Parker, Mike Delasandro, and John Cochrane. Past team projects supported Red Cross disaster relief drives at home and in foreign countries.

“They have responded generously to the opportunity to make the holidays a bit brighter for dozens of young children,” says Cochrane, a resident of West Windsor. “The students really enjoyed this chance to help others as they found that collecting toys for others could be even more fun than receiving them.”

More than 20 boxes of toys will be picked up by the Marine Corps this week.
