Town Center PTA Received Awards

The Town Center Elementary School PTA received four first place awards for exceptional programs from the New Jersey PTA. It was the highest number of awards won by a local unit in New Jersey.

The 2004 President’s We Are The Key Communication Award was accepted by Marcia Smith Fleres, past-president of the school’s PTA. She also accepted the NJPTA 2004 Safety Award, as she also served as chair of the Health and Safety Committee.

The NJPTA Parent Education Award for a two-part speaker series, “Helping Your Child Succeed,” was accepted by Marilyn Menninger, co-chair of the PTA’s parent education committee.

The fourth first-place award, presented for the PTA’s Historical Yearbook, was accepted by Ellen Hirt, chairperson of the Historical Yearbook committee.
