Graduating students Daniel Block, Jonathan Kaufman, Max Merkovitz, and Madeline Weiss, all from West Windsor, and Megan Rosenberg of Plainsboro spoke at the recent benefit. “JCYF has also taught me that it is so important to keep up philanthropic work after graduating, and whether it means donating money or time, but just the act of donating is the mitzvah (good deed),” says Kaufman.

They are all members of the Jewish Community Youth Foundation (JCYF), a Jewish teen philanthropy program administered by Jewish Family & Children’s Service of Greater Mercer County, and funded by Ricky and Andrew J. Shechtel Philanthropic Fund, and the United Jewish Federation of Princeton Mercer Bucks.

Since JCYF’s inception, participants have donated a total of $129,”931 to 39 different Jewish programs. For more information about the program contact Celeste Albert at 609-987-8100 or celestea@jfcsonline.org.
