Leading other scouts and volunteers he built three child-sized picnic tables, a teacher’s chair, and a work table out of recycled plastic wood. In addition, Breitenbach refurbished the area and installed new mulch. The new outdoor classroom is currently used in conjunction with the Dutch Neck Community Garden. His advisor was Bill Munoz, an assistant scoutmaster with Troop 759.

Breitenbach’s fundraising for the project included a grant from the West Windsor-Plainsboro Education Foundation, donations from Dutch Neck Elementary School, Dutch Neck PTA, Sharbell Building Corporation, and Adopt A Highway.

Attendees at the celebration include Jeanine Heil, principal of Dutch Neck Elementary, and Scott Feder, WW-P’s director of elementary education and former principal of Dutch Neck.

A lifeguard with the Princeton YWCA, Breitenbach will be attending the University of Michigan, College of Engineering in the fall. He is the son of John and Judy Breitenbach.
