Community Middle School and High School South Science Olympiad teams took first place in their division at the Princeton Regional on January 9. Both teams will participate in state finals on March 13 at Middlesex County College.

Community took first place in Awesome Aquifers, Dynamic Plant: Oceanography, Ecology, Heredity, Mission Possible, Rocks and Minerals, Science Word, Storm the Castle, and We’ve Got Your Number. Grover Middle School took first place in Meteorology.##M:[more]##

High School South took first place in Chemistry Lab, Circuit Lab, Designer Genes, Fermi Questions, Remote Sensing, and Rocks and Minerals. High School North placed first in Ecology and Experimental Design.

High School South’s coach is Meenakshi Bhattacharya. South was last year’s state champion. Community took first place in the national competition last year. Community coaches are Arthur Downes, Denise Weber, and Kate Malec.
