Peddie School began its 144th academic year on Sunday, September 9, with the opening convocation held in Ayer Memorial Chapel. Academic and leadership awards were presented to several West Windsor students for their contributions during the 2006-’07 school year.##M:[more]##

Arthie Jeyakumar, a senior, received the Rensselaer Medal, which is presented on behalf of the New Jersey Association of the Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute for the highest achievement in math and science.

Caitlin Heim, a junior, received the Tenth Grade Scholarship Cup for academic excellence and the French Award for her outstanding achievement in language.

Jenna Zhang, a sophomore, received the Ninth Grade Scholarship Cup for academic excellence and received the Ninth Grade Art Department Prize for her creative work in visual arts.

Trent Walradt, a junior, received the Harmon Algebra Cup for excellence in the discipline.

Colin Antaya, a senior, was presented the Yale Book Award for exhibiting outstanding personal character and intellectual promise.

Sharif Labban, a sophomore, was presented with the Ninth Grade Art Department Prize for her excellence in music.
