Vineeth Amba of Plainsboro had his drawing of a woodpecker published in the September issue of Highlights for Children. He reads the magazine on a regular basis. A fourth grade student at Millstone River School, he also enjoys coin collecting, reading mystery books, skating, swimming, and soccer. Vineeth talks about studying to be an ear, nose, and throat doctor in the future. His mother, who is a physician, is a renal specialist. His father is an information technology consultant.
He has been studying piano with a private instructor in Plainsboro for the past two years. Although he has not had art lessons outside of the school curriculum yet, his parents are looking into the possibility.
