Bob Johnson, Ellen Walsh, and President Hemant Marathe are all currently serving school board terms what expire this year. The school board election will be held Tuesday, April 17. Anyone seeking a school board position for the next three years must file a nominating petition by Tuesday, February 27, by 4 p.m.##M:[more]##

Qualified applicants must obtain a nominating petition signed by at least 10 registered WW-P voters. Potential candidates are encouraged to obtain a candidate kit from the school board central office, 505 Village Road West, 609-716-5000.

Qualifications include citizenship and one year’s residency in the WW-P school district. Candidates must have no interest in any contact with, or claim against, the school board. One must be registered to vote, but must not hold office as a member of the municipal governing body in either West Windsor or Plainsboro.

Marathe has confirmed that he will seek re-election. Johnson and Walsh have not yet announced their intentions.
