Sophie Goldberg of Plainsboro played the dual role of Queen Esther and Anna in Har Sinai Congregation’s Purim celebration. The comedy set to the music of Disney’s “Frozen,” retells the story of Purim in a comic manner. Her appearance was highlighted by a show-closing rendition of the song “For the First Time in Forever.”

Goldberg, who has been a part of Purim Shpiels at Har Sinai for many years, adds the show to her accomplishments. She was a 2014 recipient of the Holocaust and Genocide Awareness Award, sponsored by the New Jersey Commission on Holocaust Education, the Mercer County Holocaust/Genocide Resource Center, and Kidsbridge Tolerance Museum. She was nominated because she raised awareness of the Holocaust at her school, the Mercer County Technical School Health Science Academy in Hamilton.
