Trenton will once again transform into a colonial world during the second day of Patriots Week, an annual celebration of the city’s role in the American Revolution.
Held from Dec. 26 to Dec. 31, Patriots Week offers dozens of ways to experience and participate in the war that shaped our nation. From battle reenactments to a revolutionary pub craw, Trenton will spend the week honoring its colonial roots. The full list of events for the Saturday of Patriots Week can be found below.
First Battle Reenactment

Puppet Show: the trouble with Trenton
Saturday, Dec. 30 12 noon and 2 p.m.
Warren Street Plaza, West Hanover and North Warren Streets
A “mini” historical look at some amazing American history presented with marionettes and rod puppets – and lots of help from the audience! The show includes live music, large puppets and props, and plenty of “revolting” action. Free. www.barracks.org
Musket Demonstrations

Soldiers of the 17th Regiment of Infantry will drill and fire their muskets on the Parade ground of the Old Barracks Museum. Included in $5 admission with unlimited re-entry. www.barracks.org
Hogmanay!

1719 William Trent House Museum, 15 Market Street, Trenton
Celebrate the Scottish New Year at the Trent House! William Trent, founder of the city of Trenton, was an immigrant from Scotland who became a wealthy merchant. We honor his heritage with Hogmanay, the Scottish New Year celebration. Join us for hot mulled cider, Scottish sausage rolls, shortbread, and other light refreshments while listening to bagpipers.
