Mayor Liz Lempert recently accepted Sustainable Jersey’s annual Leadership Award during the New Jersey League of Municipalities’ Conference in Atlantic City. Princeton was the only town in New Jersey to win the award in 2014.

The Leadership Award recognizes Princeton’s commitment and dedication to community education and outreach initiatives, including its Sustainable Princeton’s Great Ideas Breakfasts, Sustainable Princeton Leadership Awards and regular use of social media and website announcements to keep residents informed and engaged in local initiatives.

“The Sustainable Jersey municipal awards recognize the outstanding work being done at the local level,” said Randall Solomon, who co-directs Sustainable Jersey.
