Princeton road closures set March 17 for 5K

Several road closures in Princeton are scheduled for March 17 because of Princeton High School’s 5k race.

According to the Princeton Police Department, closures will begin at 8:o0 a.m. and reopen after completion of the race.

The race course surrounds PHS and the John Witherspoon School.

Closures include

Walnut Lane between Hamilton Avenue and Oakland Street, Moore Street between Hamilton Avenue and Valley Road, Hawthrone Avenue between Walnut Lane and Jefferson Road, Houghton Road between Walnut Lane and Moore Street, Franklin Avenue between Jefferson Road and Moore Street and between Harrison Street and Walnut Lane, Guyot Avenue between Moore and Ewing streets, Ewing Street between Franklin and Guyot avenues, Linden Lane between Franklin and Guyot avenues, Henry Avenue between Jefferson Road and Moore street and Oakland Street between Walnut Lane and Ewing Street.

The police are set to post a detour that utilizes Valley Road, North Harrison Street and Hamilton Avenue.
