Starting Tuesday, May 29, Plainsboro Road will be closed between Schalks Crossing and Dey Road. ##M:[more]##It is expected to re-open before the weekend. This will be the first of many times nearby roads will be closed for the installation of a traffic light at Plainsboro and Edgemere roads.
“Telephone poles will be moved, drainage pipes installed, and the road has to be cut so we can install this much-needed traffic signal,” says Police Chief Elizabeth Bondurant. “The loose projection is that it will be operational by the fall.”
The detour for this road closure will take cars on Scudder’s Mill Road instead of Plainsboro Road. The businesses on Plainsboro Road, including the Steak & Hoagie, will reman open during the closure.
