Library Raises Target

The Plainsboro Library has announced some new initiatives to help fund the construction of its new location. According to Township Business Administrator Robert Sheehan, ground will be broken on the project by the end of 2007.##M:[more]##

The library initially set out to raise $1.5 million for the $16 million project. As it nears that number, the township and Library Director Jinny Baeckler have set the bar higher. The new goal is $2 million. Along with its ongoing “Change for Change” program, the library will publish a cookbook this summer. Residents are encouraged to send recipies to be included. The deadline is July 31.

The Library will also host “Plainsboro Idol,” a talent competition in the mold of “American Idol.” The contest, which will be held in January, 2008.
