Following an online survey, six focus groups, and a town meeting last week, the Plainsboro Public Library will review the input they have received in the past months as part of its strategic planning project.

“Where are we going in the future?” library director Carol Quick says. “We’ve gotten good response from the community. People seem to feel the library is important.”

Last June the library announced the selection of Library Development Solutions as consultants for the strategic plan, a firm owned by West Windsor residents Leslie and Alan Burger. (The News, June 27). Leslie is the current executive director of Princeton Public Library.

With the closing of the survey on November 3, Quick says the library is finished gathering facts, which will be reviewed by the consultants. In addition there is a planning committee comprising foundation members, library trustees, and residents.

Quick estimates a strategic plan will be in place by early next year.
