Robbinsville’s Regina Arcuri and Araba Aikins have been named the Mercer County Women of Achievement for 2018 by the Mercer County Commission on the Status of Women.

Arcuri has been a champion for the Robbinsville Township Fire Department, first responders and the United States military for many years.

Aikins is a Robbinsville High senior, a St. Gregory the Great Church youth group member and was awarded the St. Timothy Award by the Diocese of Trenton in June. Aikins also leads the marketing team of Robbinsville’s First Robotics team, Nemesis, and is a senior Girl Scout of Central and Southern New Jersey and has earned her Silver Award. She is an active member of the Interact club and has participated in the International Health Care Volunteers’ annual medical mission trip to Ghana.

Each recipient was nominated by Mayor Dave Fried with support from Council President Dan Schuberth and a council resolution in October.

The awards will be presented at the commission’s annual reception on March 27 at the Mercer Oaks Golf Club.
