The West Windsor-Plainsboro school district is beginning a new process for kindergarten registration for the 2008-’09 school year.##M:[more]##

Registration will begin at the start of the calendar year and will be done by appointment only. Children must be 5 years old on or before October 1, 2008 to be eligible for enrollment in the 2008,”09 kindergarten program.

Appointments can be scheduled by calling 609-716-5000, ext. 2734, or by sending an e-mail request ro kindergarten@ww-p.org. Registration will take place at the central office at 505 Village Road West in Princeton Junction.

At the time of registration, parents or guardians must bring a completed registration packet, the child’s birth certificate or passport, immunization records, and proof of residency.

The registration packet is avaiable on the district’s web site, www.ww-p.org; at the central office; or at any of the district’s four elementary schools. An up-to-date health record should be prepared by a physician, medical clinic, or health officer. Proof of residency includes current lease, mortgage, deed, or property tax bill.

Kindergarten is a half-day program offered by the district. “Kindergarten Extension” compliments the program, but because there are a limited number of spaces, a lottery will be held in late March for available spots. Information is available online or at the time of registration.
