Are you experiencing food insecurity?

Arm In Arm’s mobile food pantry will visit the Lawrence Headquarters Branch of the Mercer County Library System on Mondays, August 11, 18 and 25, from 2 to 4 p.m.

No registration is required. Arm In Arm staff will register participants upon arrival. For more information, visit arminarm.org.

Arm In Arm has served Mercer County for four decades, providing essential resources like food and financial support.

Families in need can access healthy food such as fresh produce, eggs, milk, frozen proteins, baked goods, shelf-stable canned and boxed items, and personal care products like shampoo, soap and diapers.

Each year, Arm In Arm welcomes 4,000 to 5,000 families through more than 40,000 visits to its food and mobile pantries.

The organization also works with 200 to 400 at-risk families annually to prevent or end homelessness.

“It is so important that we bring services into our communities to meet our residents where they are,” said Mercer County Executive Dan Benson.

He added: “The collaboration between the Mercer County Library System and Arm In Arm is a great example of how we can collaborate to deliver help to those who need it most.”

In addition to the mobile food pantry, other social service agencies will be on site each Monday in August.

On Aug. 4, the Mercer County Nutrition Program and the Mercer County Board of Social Services will offer information.

On Aug. 11, visitors will include the NJ Division on Civil Rights, the Lawrence Township Health Department, the New Jersey Hospital Association and the Progressive Center for Independent Living.

On Aug. 18, the Council on Compulsive Gambling of New Jersey and Volunteers of America Delaware Valley will provide resources.

On Aug. 25, representatives from the New Jersey Hospital Association, Volunteers of America Delaware Valley and the Lawrence Township Health Department will return.

All services will be available from 2 to 4 p.m. at the Lawrence Headquarters Branch on each date.

Arm In Arm depends on volunteers to help distribute food to those in need. To get involved, contact Shariq Marshall at 609-508-7851 or shariqm@arminarm.org.
