Connecticut College: Angelica Sgouros, a West Windsor resident, was awarded the Gender and Women’s Studies Award for Feminist Collective Action at the annual honors and awards ceremony in April. She is a sophomore.

Fashion Institute of Technology: Christine Scafa of West Windsor received the critic’s award for her children’s wear design and creation. Her work, which will be on display in the FIT museum for a few weeks, was judged by industry professionals. The works were inspired during a family trip to Ghana last June to visit her older sister, Stephanie (High School South, Class of 2001), who is in the Peace Corps there. Scafa used fabric and beads bought in Ghana to create her art.

Rosemont College: Saima Khan of West Windsor was inducted into Delta Epison Sigma, a national scholastic honor society for students, faculty, and alumni of colleges and universities with a Catholic tradition. She is a senior.
