Rita Gunther McGrath of West Windsor will attend the 2011 Thinkers50 Summit, a management conference celebrating the best and brightest management thinkers in the world. The event begins with a black tie dinner and awards ceremony on Monday, November 14, in London followed by a full day conference the next day.

McGrath, an associate professor at Columbia Business School, is an expert on strategic business growth in uncertain environments. A former senior systems analyst with the City of New York, she is co-author of “Discovery Driven Growth: A Breakthrough Process to Reduce Risk and Seize Opportunity,” “The Entrepreneurial Mindset: Strategies for Continuously Creating Opportunity in an Age of Uncertainty,” and “Marketbusters: 40 Strategic Moves that Drive Exceptional Business Growth.”

McGrath and her husband, John, have lived in West Windsor since 1988. They moved here when she was doing her Ph.D. at the University of Pennsylvania and he was working in New York.

McGrath is also being considered for the award honoring the person to whom a CEO of a major corporation would turn for practical and imaginative strategic advice. Visit www.thinkers50.com.
