Brothers Taksh and Parth Gupta, both students at Dutch Neck Elementary School, will perform at Carnegie Hall in January. Taksh, 8, is in third grade; and Parth, 6, is in kindergarten.

Taksh, who has won numerous state and national level piano competitions, has performed several times at Rutgers University, Rider University, and Lincoln Center. This will be his fifth performance at Carnegie Hall. He studies with Ingrid Clarfield.

Parth participated in two piano competitions this fall. He took first prize in the five year old category at New Jersey Music Teacher Association. His second prize win in the age six category at the Crescendo International Music Competition led to his performance at the winner’s recital at Carnegie Hall. He studies with Todd Simmons and practices close to 45 minutes every day.

They also like to share their music and help the community. Both of them played for patients at the University Medical Center of Princeton at Plainsboro, have participated in the Children helping Children program at CHOP, and raised money for Ronald McDonald house.
