More than 480 of the most academically gifted seventh and eighth graders in the country were honored on Sunday, June 10, at the grand awards ceremony hosted by the Johns Hopkins University Center for Talented Youth (CTY). The middle school students all earned exceptionally high scores on at least one section of the college SAT or ACT. For grade 7 a 700 SAT Critical Reading, a 700 SAT Math, a 28 ACT Math, or a 31 ACT Reading qualified students. For grade 8, a 750 SAT Critical Reading, a 750 SAT Math, 32 a ACT Math, or a 33 ACT Reading, qualified students.##M:[more]##

Students from Community Middle School included Eugene Tang and Ajit Unnam. Grover Middle School students include Sarah Antony, Jihoon Lee, Harrison Liew, Arjun Raghuraman, Aayush Visaria, Elizabeth Yang, Emily Yang, Cathy Yin, and Alexander Yu.

At the special recognition ceremony the students received a medal honoring their outstanding academic achievements. Lunch and tours of the Hopkins campus were offered after the event.
