West Windsor residents Andrew Gordon and his sister, Verity Gordon, recently performed at McCarter Theater’s First Stage Festival. Both credit their discovery of drama to Georgine Hall, a teacher at the Lewis School.##M:[more]##

Andrew, 15, portrayed King Claudius in “Hamlet.” A student at Lewis School for four years, he is a student at High School North and was recently on stage in “Disney’s High School Musical.” He played the part of Peter Quince in “In Midsummer Nights Dream” at the now defunct Mercer Arts Charter High School, and has been accepted to McCarter’s summer intensive four-week study of “Pericles.”

Verity, 12, portrayed Queen Bavmorda in “Willow.” This is her fourth year active in drama at Lewis School. She is also currently singing with Westminster Choir school group.

The family moved from Australia seven years ago. Their father Neil is a chemical engineer and their mother Jill is a registered nurse and midwife. Their older brother Robbie is in college.

Both Andrew and Verity have performed since pre-kindergarten. They attended dance schools in Australia and at Dance Corner Studios. Both have been studying at McCarter for two years.
