DOT’s New Chief: West Windsor Resident

Kris Kolluri, 38, of West Windsor was named Commissioner of Transportation by Governor Jon Corzine. Born in Hyderabad, he came to the United States in 1985. A graduate of Rutgers university, he received his master of science degree in international business from Johns Hopkins University and a JD from Georgetown University.An attorney at Parker McCay, he was formerly chief of staff to the New Jersey Commissioner of Transportation.##M:[more]##According to the News India Times, he will oversee close to 3,”900 employees, a budget of $2.6 billion, 2,”344 miles of state-maintained roadways, and 2,”454 state bridges. His department also works with the construction, operation, maintenance, and management of the state’s transportation infrastructure.Kolluri is married and has two children.
