Cornelius Tanis, 86, of Flemington died April 28. A veteran of the Army, he served during the Korean conflict. Survivors include his daughter and son-in-law, Joanne and Mark Hughes of Plainsboro; and grandchildren, Evan and Margaret Hughes. Margaret D. ‘Peg’ Dalrymple, 93, of Pennington died April 28. She was a chief petty officer with the Navy during World War II. Survivors include son and daughter-in-law, Malcolm J. and Bridget Dalrymple of West Windsor. Donations may be made to the Women’s War Memorial Foundation at www.womensmemorial.org.

Robert Harrison of Englewood Cliff died May 8. Survivors include a daughter and son-in-law, Debbie and Keith Konowitz of West Windsor. Donations may be made to autismspeaks.org or womenssportsfoundation.org.

Jim Gaines, 48, of Plainsboro died in the Amtrak train derailment on May 12 in Philadelphia. A video software architect with the Associated Press, he had attended a meeting in Washington, D.C., and was on his way home.

Survivors include his wife, Jacqueline; his son, Oliver, 16; and his daughter, Anushka, 11.
