The hall of Columbus Elementary School are adorned with mini-mes of students, teachers and staff.

One-on-One class support person Edna Williams led the school in a mural project called Because I’m Happy. The mural is comprised of cut-out paper figures decorated to look like the school community.

Williams works daily with one of Columbus’ first graders and has proven to be an invaluable member of the school family during her first year.

Williams personalized the cutouts, which she calls Dolly Dolls, to represent each of the students in the first grade classroom she supports. The project grew as students were given the opportunity to share their personal goals by illustrating a thought balloon used in the display.
