Chris Thile and Edgar Meyer to perform at Princeton

Princeton University Concerts presents mandolin player Chris Thile and bassist Ed Meyer on October 9 at 7:30 p.m.

Thile and Meyer, both MacArthur Geniuses, have been playing together for 15 years and began performing live as a duo in 2003.

Thile is the founding member of the band The Punch Brothers. He also spent 15 years as a member of the Grammy Award-winning band Nickel Creek.

In 1994, Meyer became the first bassist to win the Avery Fisher Prize and has also won four Grammy Awards.

The performance will take place at Richardson Auditorium in Alexander Hall on the campus at Princeton University.

Tickets are $40.
