The WW-P 15s made it to the final four in the Southern N.J. state tournament before being eliminated by Mount Laurel with a 7-0 loss on Tuesday, July 22. They finished third in the District 1 tournament earlier this month to advance to the state tournament. The team is managed by Ted Phelan.

Joe Jensen of West Windsor, a 2011 High School North graduate, was selected to play in the Atlantic Collegiate Baseball League (ACBL) All-Star game in Quakertown, Pennsylvania, on July 17, where he went 1 for 2. Jensen plays centerfield for the Trenton Generals. He leads his team in walks (10) and stolen bases (9).

Jensen is a standout three-sport athlete and a rising senior at Hamilton College. In addition to baseball, he is a wide receiver on the football team and a sprinter for track. Jensen has broken school records in both baseball and track. He is also the only Hamilton athlete to have been honored on two different all-conference sports teams — baseball and football.

Jensen’s teammate on the Trenton Generals, Paul Balestrieri of West Windsor, was also selected to play in the All-Star game. A right-handed pitcher, he boasts a 1.16 ERA in the ACBL this season. Balestrieri, a 2013 South graduate, is a rising sophomore at Cornell.
