Patricia Buell was appointed the assistant principal at Maurice Hawk Elementary School. She replaces Judith Petry, who has retired from the district after 12 years of service.

Buell has 20 years of elementary teaching experience. During the past school year she was the elementary resource specialist for exceptionality; and in 2005 she served as the interim assistant principal at Village School.
