Robbinsville Township’s long-awaited Starbucks will open for business Monday morning.

The coffee chain’s first location in Robbinsville will serve its first customer at 5 a.m. Monday, Oct. 2, according to the Starbucks website. Robbinsville Township Director of Community Development Hal English confirmed, in an email, that Monday will be Starbucks’ first day. The cafe also has a drive thru, and is located at 2325 Route 33, on the eastbound side of the road, next to the Malvern School and across from the Robbinsville Township municipal building. It will be open from 5 a.m. until 10 p.m.

There will be an official ribbon cutting later in October, English said.

The business opens exactly 11 months after it was first approved by the township’s Technical Review Committee. The planning board approved the proposal a month later, in December 2016.

At the time, in November 2016, Robbinsville Township Mayor Dave Fried estimated the Starbucks would be open before the end of 2017, perhaps even sooner. His prediction will come true with Monday’s opening.
