Young Women Empowerment Initiative (YWEI) will be hosting its first event on Sunday, March 29. The seminar will take place at the Plainsboro Public Library from 2 to 4 p.m. in the first floor community room.

The guest lecture will feature a neurologist from the Children’s Hospital of Philadelphia and a pediatrician from Healthy Kids Pediatric of East Windsor.

YWEI encourages women to step up and take control of their futures by taking on leadership positions and delving into STEM (science, technology, engineering and mathematics) field professions.

Come to learn more about how these two women got to be where they are, the skills they developed to become successful, what it’s like working in a male dominated field and more.
