The West Windsor Community Farmers Market is set to host food writer, chef and culinary instructor Rachel Weston on Saturday, June 27. Weston will be on site from 10 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. for a live food demo.

For the demo, Weston will prepare a simple summer slaw using market ingredients. Afterwards, she will answer questions about her new book, New Jersey Fresh, Four Seasons From Farm to Table as well as offer copies for sale.

The West Windsor Community Farmers Market is featured in her book as one of her favorite famers markets, along with stories on several of our farms.

The farmers market is also set to hold its first ever blueberry pie contest on July 4. Local novice bakers are encouraged to enter. Send an email to wwcfm@yahoo.com to indicate your participation and receive simple rules to enter. Prizes to the 1st, 2nd and 3rd place pies!

The Market is located in the Vaughn Drive Parking Lot of the southbound side of Princeton Junction Train Station. Car and bicycle parking is available. For GPS directions, use 2 Vaughn Drive, West Windsor; market is in the 2nd driveway on the right on Vaughn Drive.

Since 2012, the WWCFM has been voted the annual Top Celebrated Market in New Jersey and a Top 100 Most Celebrated Market Nationwide, in American Farmland Trust’s I Love My Farmers Market Contest.
