Voter to Rush Holt: It’s Time to Debate

Share post:

There is a lot more at stake in November’s congressional elections than who wins in each district. Our families’ future and well-being are at stake. With such an important decision before us voters, it’s important that we have every opportunity available to get to know the candidates and compare their credentials and readiness to serve in the 112th Congress.

It’s less than 100 days until Election Day. Voters want and need to hear the candidates answer the same set of questions and speak to the same set of issues at the same time and place. In a letter to Scott Sipprelle, Congressman Holt stated that after the primary election Holt would agree, as he had done in the past, to a series of candidate forums throughout the district.

Congressman Holt, why don’t you believe in yourself the way the voters did in 2008 when you were last re-elected? In service to us voters, please put this debate issue to rest and show the voters you aren’t afraid of anything and have nothing to hide. Meet face-to-face with your challenger for a series of debates as you said you would.

Congressman Holt, I am counting on you to keep your word.
