The Rescue Mission of Trenton has partnered with the Trenton Half Marathon to provide discounts to runners.

Runners who donate new or gently used clothing and sneakers to the mission will receive a discount code for the event, scheduled for Nov. 9.

Participants can drop off donations 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. Monday through Saturday at the Mission Store, 100 Carroll St., Trenton. After making their donation, runners will receive a code from a Rescue Mission employee.

The Rescue Mission of Trenton is the agency in the City of Trenton that serves the truly needy men and women who have no place to turn for shelter, food, and clothing. The mission provides a safe, clean, warm refuge for the homeless, the hungry, the transient and the addicted. Its Emergency Shelter is open daily from 4 p.m. to 8 a.m.

The Trenton Half Marathon is now in its second year. The event features the half marathon, a 10K and a kids run. Runners have the opportunity to run across two states, two bridges and finish inside Arm & Hammer Park -home of the Trenton Thunder.
