The Rotary Club of Robbinsville Hamilton Sunrise is accepting applications for its scholarships.

Scholarships are available for high school seniors living in Robbinsville and Hamilton Townships who are continuing their education at a two or four-year school college or a vocational or technical school.

Applications are due May 1.

Through its Robbinsville/Hamilton Sunrise Rotary Foundation Scholarship, the organization awards scholarships ranging from $250 to $1,000.

Students must submit a typed, 250 word essay describing how they would use their education and experiences to give back to the community.

Students planning to study communication or journalism, including advertising, multimedia, public relations, television and radio, are eligible for the James A. DeBold “Service About Self” scholarship, which awards $1,000.

Applicants must write a typed, 250 word essay showing evidence of living your life by the motto “Service above self.”

For both scholarships, the organization recommends including documentation that supports community service participation.

Scholarship winners may be asked to present a short talk about continuing their education at a Rotary Club meeting following their freshman year.

Applications should be mailed to Robbinsville Hamilton Sunrise Rotary Foundation, P.O. Box 9297, Hamilton.
