A night of Motown at the Princeton Hyatt is set to benefit Young Scholar’s Institute.

YSI Motown Revue and Dinner Dance is scheduled for 6 p.m. Oct. 17 at the hotel, 102 Carnegie Center, Princeton. Proceeds from the event supports the continuation and expansion of programming provided by YSI.

YSI, a non-profit year-round learning center for Trenton area children in grades K-12, was established in 1990 by executive director Jerri L. Morrison, a former teacher. The organization provides innovative programs for approximately 1,200 school children annually. These programs and services include one-to-one tutoring, SAT preparatory courses, enrichment classes, college tours and college admissions workshops, reading and writing workshops, and a pre-school.

The event features Motown music performed by local musicians, as well as food, drink and a keynote speaker.
