Maurice Hawk Art Auction A Success

Share post:

On January 20, the Maurice Hawk PTA held an Art Auction Gala at the Mercer Oaks Golf Club to raise money for student educational programs. The event was the culmination of almost six months of work by Maurice Hawk students, teachers, administrators, and PTA parents. These dedicated volunteers coordinated 39 collaborative works of art –– one project from each of the K-3 classes –– that were auctioned off live with other donated items. Over 180 tickets were sold for the event and $17,000 was raised.

The exclusive “teacher time experiences” proved to be hot-ticket auction items at the event. Many teachers generously donated their time for special outings with their students outside of school hours. Local and national sponsors donated auction and raffle items.

We are also grateful to our many local sponsors: Al Jon’s, Bugher Marine Services, Camden Riversharks, Carlucci’s, Catherine Lombardi Restaurant, Gold Medal Impressions, Image Arts, McCaffrey’s, McCarter Theater, NailZone, Perna’s Plant and Flower Shop, Princeton Nassau Pediatrics, State Theatre New Brunswick, That Pottery Place, Triangle Copy East Windsor, Trenton Thunder, Wegmans, West Windsor Arts Council, Whole Foods Market, and Wildflowers. Thank you all for a truly memorable event!
