Letter: Parents say there’s more to the Mock Trial story

Share post:

An article titled “HS South Goes Back to Court” appeared in the Feb. 1, issue of the WWP News. We would like to provide some clarification as the article misrepresents the efforts of the students who were involved in the mock trial program.

This was a school effort and there are a total of three co-founders and co-presidents who contributed to the program; however, the article focuses entirely on one individual in particular. The other two co-founders are Anika Prakash and Ria Seth, both juniors at South.

All three of these students contributed equally to Mock Trial, yet the efforts of Anika and Ria were not acknowledged. What could have been an opportunity to showcase the achievements of two young ladies as well as the individual mentioned in the article was sadly missed.

Dipali and Amit are Anika Prakash’s parents.
