Mercer County’s Department of Transportation and Infrastructure is set to pick up leaves along county roads through early December.

The department is set to visit each of the county’s 12 municipalities to sweep leaf piles from curbsides.

For pick-up, residents are reminded to rake leaves from their property into piles between the sidewalk and curb.

Crews will not pick up leaves mixed with twigs, branches, stones or brush. Bagged leaves will not be picked up.

Residents should not park vehicles in front of leaf piles because crews will be unable to reach them.

Pick-up is scheduled for the week of Nov. 4 for county roads in Princeton, Washington Township and West Windsor; Nov. 11 for Hamilton and City of Trenton; Nov. 18 for Hopewell Township, borough and Pennington; Nov. 25 for Ewing, East Windsor and Lawrence; Dec. 2 for Hightstown Borough, Princeton and Robbinsville; and Dec. 9 for West Windsor, Hamilton and Trenton.

The department plans to post street signs in advance to alert residents to pile their leaves and not to park on the street.

More information, including a list of roads scheduled for pick-up, is online at nj.gov/counties/mercer/departments/transportation/highways/leafpickup.html.
