In Support of IIS Mosque

A Simple Question

For IIS Opponents

My husband and I have lived in Plainsboro for 38 years. When my children were little, their birthday parties were like the United Nations. Their friends lived in the WW-P school district but were from all over the world. I was happy they had the opportunity to learn about other cultures. It is very upsetting to me that West Windsor is challenging the building of a mosque. My question is, would you have the same complaints if it were a church or synagogue?

Zoning Reminder For Mosque Critics

What everyone should know is that the Elements housing project itself received a variance to allow for residential housing. The land was zoned for research, light manufacturing, and a health club. So when the Elements folks moved in, they knew they could be surrounded by industry or a health club. There is no way the mosque is a heavier use than an industrial use or health club. So I am not sure why they are opposed to a mosque in terms of quality of life issues.

The people who petitioned against Mr. Salem — it is amazing they would do this. They do not even explain their basis for this.

Finally, the person who made a statement regarding parking and neighbors, etc.: You should also drive by the 10 churches in West Windsor during high times like Sundays or Easter or Christmas. Try telling all illegal parkers they are not to be trusted in how they deal with their neighbors!
