Grants for nonprofit historical organizations and sites are available through the Division of Culture and Heritage.

Applications for Fiscal Year 2014 Mercer County History Regrants are online and due June 22.

Both General Operating and Special Projects grants are available to eligible, not-for-profit historical organizations and sites in the County.

County-based nonprofit community organizations, local government entities, schools and libraries offering local historical programming and events can also apply for the Special Projects grants.

This year -through February 2014- is Mercer County’s 175th Anniversary and in 2014, the State of New Jersey observes its 350th Anniversary. The Cultural and Heritage Commission is interested in history projects that honor the anniversaries.

Grants are made available through a partnership between the New Jersey Historical Commission/Department of State and Mercer County’s Cultural and Heritage Commission.

Paper copies of grant applications can be requested by calling (609) 989-6481 or through email at tfagan@mercercounty.org.

More information and applications are online at nj.gov/counties/mercer/commissions/cultural/historyprogram.
