Dagli seeks support for school board

I am running for a Plainsboro seat on the WWP School Board.

I moved to Plainsboro about three years ago. I chose WWP so my kids could get the best N.J. has to offer. I am glad I did so.

I want to continue to build upon the good the district has to offer and maximize the potential. In addition, I will actively work to improve communications and dialogue between the board and community.

I will vote “no” if I have to, however I will first try to convince others of my viewpoint. I will make it a personal commitment to get people’s opinions when I make decisions on important topics.

It has become important in recent years that the school board get more independence from the state board.

Decisions made by the state board are pushed for follow through with no recourse. PARCC is one such example. If managed well, more freedom for the local board will mean more decisions in the hands of the local community.

I came to the USA for my master’s in engineering from NJIT. My wife is a dentist and runs a dental office in East Brunswick. I have a 7-year-old son and a 6-year-old daughter attending Wicoff School.

We love biking around town, and recently my son and I participated in a bike ride in support of ADA, starting at Novo Nordisk campus.

I want to ensure that our kids improvise and learn from our mistakes. I want to give them the right information and right choices to choose from.

I’m hoping for a great dialogue this election season and looking forward to your vote!
