County to hold Electronic Waste Disposal Day on Feb. 7

The Mercer County Improvement Authority will host an Electronic Waste Disposal Day on Saturday, Feb. 7 from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m.

The event will take place at Parking Lot 1 on Hamilton Avenue directly across the street from the Sun National Bank Center in Trenton. It will be held rain or shine.

The event is only open to Mercer County residence and proof of residency is required.

Acceptable electronic items include camera equipment, central processing units (CPUs), circuit boards, computer mouses, copiers, electric wire, fax machines, keyboards, laptops and peripherals, microwave ovens, networking equipment, phones, printers, scanners, stereo equipment, televisions and VCRS.

No commercial or industrial waste will be accepted.

At the same time, the county will also offer a document shredding service. Up to eight boxes or bags of paper may be discarded.
